How long we retain your data
We store and process personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil a specific legitimate purpose, unless applicable regulations provide for a longer retention period for a particular purpose. Where consent to marketing has been given, we keep the data until the consent is withdrawn. Personal data that is no longer needed is either irreversibly anonymised or securely destroyed.

Information about the cookies used on this website
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites leave on your device when you visit them. Your web browser processes and stores them either temporarily (they are deleted after you close the browser) or permanently (they remain on your device after you close the browser).
What can cookies be used for?
Cookies are most commonly used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to site owners. Cookies allow a website to recognise whether users have visited it before, or help it understand user preferences. Cookies provide data on which part of a website is most popular, as they show which pages users visit and how much time they spend on them. By studying this data, websites can adapt to users' needs and offer an even richer user experience. In addition, cookies are used to ensure that the content displayed meets users' expectations on every subsequent visit (without you having to select it yourself).
Types of cookies
In general, there are three different ways of classifying cookies: by how long they are kept, by their origin and by their purpose.
Duration
- Session cookies – These cookies are short-lived and are deleted when you close your browser (or when the session ends).
- Persistent cookies – This category covers all cookies that remain on your device until you delete them or your browser does so, depending on the cookie's expiry date (these include, for example, language settings, username and password or cookie preferences), so that you do not have to select them again on every subsequent visit.
Origin
- First-party cookies – These cookies are placed on your device directly by the website you are visiting. Only that website can read them.
- Third-party cookies – These are cookies placed on your device not by the website you are visiting, but by a third party such as an advertiser or an analytics service (e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Google Analytics).
Purpose
- Strictly necessary cookies – These cookies are essential for browsing the website and using its basic features, such as accessing secure areas of the website. Since these cookies are essential for the website to function, website owners do not need to obtain user consent to place necessary cookies on their devices.
- Preference cookies – These cookies, also known as "functional cookies", allow a website to remember choices you have made in the past, for example which language you prefer, which region you want to receive the weather forecast for, or your username and password so you can log in automatically.
- Statistics cookies – Also known as "performance cookies", these cookies collect information about how you use a website, such as the pages you visited and the links you clicked. None of this data can be used to identify you. All such data is aggregated and therefore anonymised. Its sole purpose is to improve website functions. This includes cookies of third-party analytics services, as long as the cookies are used exclusively by the owner of the website you are visiting.
- Marketing cookies – These cookies track your online activity to help advertisers deliver more relevant advertising or to limit how many times you see an ad. These cookies may share that information with other organisations or advertisers.
Managing and deleting cookies
You can set your web browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies (except necessary cookies), or notify you when a cookie arrives on your device. Every web browser is different, so use your browser's "Help" menu to change your cookie settings. For the most commonly used browsers, the cookie management menu items are as follows:
- Mozilla Firefox
- Google Chrome
- Internet Explorer
Google Analytics provides additional options for opting out of Google Analytics: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB.
The MegaMajice.com website is designed to work with cookies, so disabling or restricting them will diminish your browsing experience and may cause errors in the website's functionality.
